WHITE ROCK

TECHNIQUE:

Axial  10  mm  sections were taken through the throax both pre and post intravenous administration of  100  cc  Omnipaque  300.   The patient was premedicated with prednisone, Benadryl and Zantac prior to contrast administration due to a history of contrast allergy.   


This study was compared to the prior examination dated 12/30/99.


FINDINGS:

The left lung remains clear.   The small pretracheal lymph node again is unchanged in size.   A large right pleural effusion is present, and the right midlung nodule now measures almost 2 cm in diameter, having increased in size from the prior study.    The smaller upper lobe nodles are unchanged. The effusion is unchaned.   The effusion is unchanged.   No osteolytic or osteoblastic changes are present in the bony thorax.


SUMMARY OF POSITIVE FINDINGS:

1.   No interval chagne in the righ pleural effusion.

2.   Increase in the right midlung zone module.

3.   Suspected calcified thrombus in the superior vena cava.

3.   No inerval cahnge in the precarinal lympy node.

4.   The left lung is clear.
