TECHNIQUE:

Continuous axial  8  mm  slices were obtained through the abdomen post oral constrast ingestion and pre and post intravenous administration of  92  ml Omnipaque 350.   Due to prior allergic reaction, the patient was premedicated with Benadryl, Zantac and Solu-Cortef. A total of 140 o,ages was obtained.

FINDINGS:

This study was compared to the prior examination of 2/23/00.

The liver is normal in size, and there is a small subcortical cyst, measuring approximately 5 mm in diameter along the medial aspect of the subcapsular portion of the right hepatic lobe, unchanged in size or configuration since the prior study.  No hepatic masses are indentified.  The spleen in unremarkable.  The gallbladder is full of stones.  The adrenal glands appear normal.  Both kidneys are normal in size and contour and free of any solid or cystic masses. The pancreas is free of any masses.  Intra-abdominal vascularity is unremarkable.  No retroperitoneal adenopathy is present.  The bowel pattern in unremarkable.  No free intra-abdominal fluid is present.  The osseous structures are normal for age.


IMPRESSION:

1.   Small subcapsular cyst in the anterior portion of the right hepatic lobe, unchanged in size since the prior study.

2.   No intra-abdominal masses are present.

3.   In interval change since 2/23/00.
